Join us for a drum circle at Yoga Central the second Friday of the month (6:45-8pm), running through the winter months. These are donation-based sessions. Please bring your own drum or percussion instrument. Be creative: a plastic egg partially filled with raw lentils, rice, or beans makes a great homemade percussion instrument!

Peace and Release with Carol and Chet - Sun, Feb 23
Reiki is an energy transforming technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support transformation.
Restorative Yoga, as the name suggests, is a style of yoga that helps “restore” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function. In turn this helps the body rest, and restore balance. By allowing time for longer asanas (postures or poses) and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response.
These two practices combined makes for a peaceful and releasing experience. Everything will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite blanket or throw to cover up with and make sure to dress comfortably. $25
Taught by Chet and Carol Lenartowicz.
*** Only 6 spots available ***
Cancellation policy: Because space is limited for this event, payment is required to reserve your spot. Our cancellation policy with a 24 Hour notice is a 50% refund of the event price. There will be no refunds for same day cancellations or no shows. This policy is unique to this event, and differs from the studio's regular class cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding.

Yoga for Mike's 65th Birthday! Fri, Mar 7
We have a rather bland and mediocre class planned for the 65th birthday (March 7th) of our yoga center founder, Mike Curtis. There will be a little live music and many normal run-of-the-mill moments of yoga together. We definitely request no presents or cards, but your presence would really be delightful! Just come the way you would to a regular yoga class, no extra preparation. The class will be both moderate and gentle, musical and quiet, uplifting and relaxing and we'll drive carefully and go the speed limit.

T'ai Chi for Health & Relaxation with Laura - Ongoing Series
T'ai Chi Ch'uan is literally translated as “supreme ultimate boxing”. The “supreme ultimate” part refers to the Chinese concept of the origin of the universe. Out of the infinite potential of the void arises the dual principles of yin and yang. Yang being the male, warm, forceful, light principle, and Yin being the female, cool, yielding, dark principle. Neither one of these principles is superior to the other, and both are necessary because each contains some of the other. They are two sides of the same coin. The yin-yang symbol is also a symbol of T'ai Chi. T'ai Chi Ch'uan is a harmonious dance of yin and yang sometimes referred to as “meditation in motion”.
T’ai Chi was originally practiced as a martial art emphasizing strength and speed. Through time it has evolved into a gentle form of exercise that can be practiced by people of all ages. It consists of a sequence of movements that are performed slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth, even transitions.
This is a six week series with classes meeting once per week: The cost is $65 per person
