Rhonda Kuster
Rhonda Kuster (E-RYT500) has a deep passion for, and dedication to, the art of yoga. She began her yoga journey in 1997 and continues to study with many of the finest yoga teachers in the country. Some of her principal influences have been Rodney Yee, Richard Rosen, Doug Keller, Donna Farhi, Richard Freeman, Tias Little, Tim Miller, Laurie Blakeney, and Karen Allgire.
In 2010, she completed the first accelerated training in NY as an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (UZIT) She teaches classes and workshops that integrate several modalities which include simple yoga movements, Reiki, essential oil therapy, breath awareness, restorative poses, and meditation. Rhonda is one of the Urban Zen Master Trainers for UZIT teacher trainings.
Rhonda took her first Sanskrit workshop in 1998 and fell in love with this beautiful language. She offers 'Intro to Sanskrit' workshops which make it fun and accessible to learn proper pronunciation of yoga poses and various yoga terms such as the yamas and niyamas, as well as traditional yoga chants.
She is an Ayurvedic Health Consultant and loves to share the ancient teachings of this elegant "Science of Life" based on the five elements.
She is inspired by her students and continues to find the awe and beauty of yoga with a beginners mind...always endeavoring to "keep her cup empty" and be receptive to what is happening in each moment. Her classes are an eclectic mix of styles and influences, usually with a focus on alignment, ease of mind, breath awareness, and yoga philosophy. She is delighted to share her practice and teaching of yoga with others to further ignite the vast joy and wonder of this beautiful art form.
